The 28th Allegheny Sport Show is going to start from Wednesday, 13th February 2013 through Sunday, 17th February 2013 at Monroeville Convention Center. The show hours are 3 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; noon to 9 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
This is the only western Pennsylvania event dedicated to fishing, hunting and camping. The organizers of the show want to highlight the family aspect of the event.
The event is going to offer exhibitors, demonstrations and seminars by experts in their fields of interest.
As many as 80 vendors are interested to redirect to Monroeville to participate in the event as result of postponement of Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show that was originally scheduled from 2nd February 2013 to 10th February 2013 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. The show was postponed due to recent policy banning the display and sale of modern sporting rifles.
The Allegheny event offers a wide selection of products and services such as RVs to tents, Canoes to Cruisers and tourism to hunting and fishing.
Safari Club International will be distributing free fluorescent orange hunting vests to the first 50 youngsters of 15 years age and younger, who visit the group’s booth Saturday and Sunday.
The first 50 children to register and attend safety seminar at the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s booth will be handover a free personal flotation device.
The vendors at the event offer outerwear, socks and boots, and leather goods. Sportsmen can also check out the reels, rods, lures, hunting gear and electronic navigational devices on sale at best prices of the season.
The organizers are easy on the family budget charging $10 for adults. The children of 12 years and under are admitted for free with paying adult. The parking at the event is free.
