Enthusiasts, like that of Moline’s Pam Fisher who came to the parking lot at Jumer’s Casino in her 1959 Airstream, planned to do their camping in vintage style.

The camp, which is meant for like-minded ladies, has three rules to follow: No men; No Kids; and, No Pets. The camping is dedicated to women to enjoy their time for themselves.

Fisher commented that it was awesome and she felt a little slice of heaven as she waited for her peers to arrive in their vintage campers. All the campers headed west for the road-trip.

Sisters on the Fly was started by two sisters in 1999 who actually wanted to pass their idea of fly-fishing and not just camping to the next generations. The group now has more than 3000 members with above 30 chapters.

For the event, many participating women have either bought or restored their vintage camper trailers. They also decorated the camper trailers in their own theme which was unique.
