Overnight camps in Florida are well-known all over the country, not only because they provide the best summer experience one can ask for, but for making the campers feel that they are part of an extended family.
Circle F Dude Ranch Camp
Situated at Lake Wales, this sleep-away and quintessential camp is aimed for girls and boys in the age-group of 6 and 18. This authentic ranch will be like a hog-heaven for the children with its Western-themed cabins and college kids as counsellors. This 500 acre property comes with a lake and a stable filled with 65 horses. Campers can also take part in other activities like rock climbing, sailing, tennis and zip lining. Camp Kennedy Space Center
This is the home base of NASA in Cape Canaveral where kids can fulfil their dreams of becoming an astronaut. Week-long sessions in the period between June and August are offered by the center for kids between 8-14 years of age. Motion simulators, interacting with live astronauts, Shuttle Launch Experience are some of the popular attractions here. Kids are also offered team-building activities where they can divulge into some brainstorming ideas for space travel in future and perform shuttle mission simulation.
Nature’s Wonders Summer Camp
Florida’s natural wonders are put on focus in this camp in Naples. Campers here are taught how to preserve Florida’s beauty via conservation lessons filled with a number of fun activities. Explorations in the Naples Beach and mangroves are led by certified naturalists, with lessons on the saltwater and freshwater environments in Florida. The camp here houses 11 aquariums and is home to a number of Florida’s native species including turtles and baby alligators. Sessions run from June to July.
Camp Indian Springs
As far as overnight camps in Florida are concerned this one here reigns supreme. This is the state’s premier private summer camp for girls and boys ageing between 7-16. The 77 acre camp is located in Wakulla Springs State Park amidst Wakulla Forest and Apalachicola. With a heritage dating back to 1965, the camp offers an experience rich in learning, extreme adventure, friendship and fun. It offers sessions ranging from a week to 10 weeks. Popular attractions include skateboarding, ATVing, fencing, SCUBA, boating, horseback, high ropes and more.

Pine Crest Day Camp
For more than 50 years, this camp is synonymous with summer fun. Spread over 49 acres, it includes a lake, two gymnasiums, two auditorium, zip lines, batting cages, a kiddie lagoon, two pools and a massive dining room.
